Life. No one really thinks about it, but it's all around us. Everywhere you go, there is something growing. But just because it is all around you, don't take it for granted. Because one day, maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe far into the future, someone close might lose their life. So enjoy this time, right now, while you can. Don't waste it by fighting and trying to hurt others. Because you are really just hurting yourself. You're really just wasting time.
When someone dies, it is very sad. It doesn't always have to be that way, though. You don't need to stay sad forever. But, before you can be happy, you have to accept. Accept that they are gone. Accept that they are in a better place, in heaven. Accept that the are free from all the pain in the world.
You need to forgive. If you blame someone for the death of a loved one, especially if you blame yourself, you need to forgive. What happened happened, and you can't change it.
Take all the hate, anger, and pain inside of you, and instead replace it with love. There is nothing stronger than love. Love is the key to to happiness. Love your neighbor, love your enemies, love your friends, love your family. Love is why the earth was made. Love is why Jesus died. Love is why God did, does, and will do everything.
You may think that God doesn't exist. You may be angry at God for what he has or is putting you through. But he does it out of love. I may be just a young teenager, but I know that God is real and that he loves each and every person. When you are hurt or in need and you think that nothing could get worse, that is when you need God the most. He puts you through trials so that you can call out to Him for help. Pray to Him. Talk to him from your heart. Anyone can, as long as you do it in honest faith. Trust the Lord. He has helped me through some of my most troubling times, and after praying, even though help doesn't come right away most of the time, I have always been able to get through it.
You may think I'm just some dumb girl who doesn't know what she's talking about, that she might have just been raised to think like that. But you're wrong. I DO know what I'm talking about. I have prayed and read my scriptures, and I know in my heart, with all certainty, that God is real, and that He loves everyone. I may not be perfect. But I do my best to live.
Love,
A.J.B.
